July Reads

I’ve decided to start doing monthly post that wraps up all the books that I read in a given month. So at the end of every month from now on, I will be sharing what books I have read and a brief review on them. I didn’t actually finish any new reads, but I have started a couple of new books and hopefully I can include them in my August Reads post. All the books I read this month were re-reads.

A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas

This one was a re-read for me. The A Court of Thorns and Roses (ACOTAR) series is one of my all time favorites and I love revisiting that world. I skipped the first book because I’ve read it enough times to still have an idea of what happened. A Court of Mist and Fury is probably my favorite out of all the ACOTAR books right now. It’s high fantasy romance and it’s become one of my favorite genres thanks to Sarah.

A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J Maas

Just like the last book, this was a re-read. Honestly, I don’t know how much more I can say about Sarah’s books. But I will say that even on the fourth (?) re-read, I was practically sobbing by the end. If you’ve read ACOWAR, then you know that page 666 (how fitting lol) is the page that I think made the whole fandom sob. This book is full of action and romance within the fantastical world that I’ve come to adore.

A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J Maas

This was also a re-read, but unlike the previous books this was my first time re-reading this book. I read when it first came out and only recently re-read it. It’s definitely a filler book, but I still absolutely love it. And I think I might be in the minority with that opinion. I feel like this book is probably not exactly necessary for the Nesta/Cassian book but maybe it’s a decent bridge between Feyre’s story and Nesta’s story. But I guess we won’t find out for sure until the Nesta book is out!
